This indicator shows the total amount of farmland, as well as the average and median size of farms The median size of farms is the size at which half of all the farms are smaller and half are larger. A larger median size of farms indicates that there are more large farms.
In Boise in 2017:
- there were 53,198 acres in farmland,
- the average farm size was 591 acres,
- the median farm size was 15 acres, and
- the amount of farmland increased 22 percent from 2007 to 2017.
